About the Author

Manon Ventis writes stories about curiosity, friendship, memory, and the unexpected paths that lead us somewhere new.

Born in Italy and now living in California, she draws inspiration from the places she has known and wandered through—from Mediterranean villages and old European cities to landscapes where history still seems to linger just beneath the surface.

Her books range from the lively adventures of Jake & Jeremy to journeys through history, mystery, and the quieter worlds of village life. Though each series follows a different path, they share a belief that the most interesting discoveries often begin with a simple question—and that sometimes getting a little lost is the best way to find them.

When she isn't writing, she is usually reading, traveling, imagining the history behind an old doorway, or wondering where the next story might be hiding.

A woman with wavy brown hair and wearing a cream-colored blouse, sitting at a wooden desk with an open journal and writing pen. She is surrounded by antique books, a globe, a mug with the quote 'Stories are maps for the imagination,' and a compass. Large windows behind her reveal a city with domed buildings and green trees. The room has wooden shelves filled with more books and a map on the wall.
